Net Studies Conference 2010

As part of Net204, OUA and Curtin Students are participating in an online conference.  For the past week, students have collaborated over promoting the conference, and have come up with some great ideas.  Its good seeing it gradually all come together.

This is from the Conference site, and explains what the Conference is all about:

Welcome to the Debating Communities and Networks Conference for 2010. This conference will be held online from the 26th of April 2010 until the 16th of May 2010. This conference has been primarily organised by students from Curtin University and Open Universities Australia involved in the course Internet Communities and Social Networks. Other people interested in this topic are most welcome and encouraged to participate and comment on the papers presented here. This year the conference is split into four streams, each exploring a different aspect of Communities and Networks, these are:

• Stream 1: Early Virtual Communities
• Stream 2: Communities and Web 2.0
• Stream 3: Social Networks
• Stream 4: Identity in Communities and Networks

We look forward to the debates and discussions that will occur here within our conference community.
